At lunchtime, children are free either to go home for lunch, to take a school meal, or to bring a packed lunch.

How much do school meals cost?

All children are eligible for free school meals until they reach P5. Meals from P1-P4 are available automatically. From P5, school meals can be purchased online and from the school. From January 2022 P5 children will be entitled to free school meals. Information regarding the roll out of free school meals to the remaining primary school year groups (P6-P7) will be provided in 2022.

P6-7     £2.45

A variety of hot and cold main and dessert dishes is served daily. Children have a choice of menu. The cost of the school meals is given on the enclosed information sheet. Special dietary considerations may be accommodated, incluidng Gluten and Dairy free, please contact teh school reception for further information.

At Kinloss we use an online system for pupils to buy their school dinners. Parents top up the account on the ipay portal, and pupils chose the school dinner in the morning on the smartboard. More information can be found here: http://online.moray.gov.uk/site/wss/request/ipayimpact

Packed lunches
These are eaten in the dining hall simultaneously with the service of school
lunches. Children who bring packed lunches are expected to finish what they bring to eat. Children are not permitted to swap items in their lunches with others due to specific dietary conditions of some of our pupils.
The school auxiliaries are there to ensure that the children eat sensibly and are gently reminded not to waste any of their food.
Under no circumstances should children bring drinks to school in glass flasks or bottles. Fizzy and sugary drinks are not permitted in the school.
