Supporting Children from Armed Forces Families

At Kinloss Primary School, we work closely with families who may be Serving, Reserve or Veteran families within our school community for the benefit of the children. We have positive and established links with 39 Engineer Regiment, Army Welfare Service and engage in lots of activities with Kinloss Barracks and also with RAF Lossiemouth.

We hope that the information on the following pages will be helpful to you about how we support children with transitions and deployments at Kinloss Primary School.

There are additional links to extra websites which may also benefit you as you move to s Scottish school.

Armed Forces Pupil Support Worker at Kinloss Primary School

We are really pleased that Mrs Homer's post has been funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust's Supporting Armed Forces Pupils in Moray as part of a successful bid with four other Moray schools. Mrs Homer works to support lots of children from Armed Forces Families to support them at times of transition both in and out of Kinloss Primary School and periods of deployment. Mrs Home works with chidlren on a 1:1 basis for individual transitions, in small groups and at lunchtime with her deployment club. We are very grateful to the AFCFT for their funding this year, as Mrs Homer's support is invaluable for some of our children.
